Marantz, a longtime leader in luxury audio, has made its first foray into wireless speakers with the launch of the Marantz Horizon and Marantz Grand Horizon. Known for crafting high-end audio systems, Marantz has brought the same design philosophy and commitment to quality to these new wireless speakers, making them not just sound systems, but also elegant pieces of home decor.
The Horizon series stands out with a unique globe-shaped design that sets it apart from most traditional wireless speakers. Available in three colors – Moon Ray, Midnight Sky, and Champagne – the speakers are designed to complement any room. The exterior is made from Marantz’s Ecofiber material, which is crafted from recycled ocean plastics, reflecting the brand’s focus on sustainability without sacrificing luxury. Gold accents around the speaker enhance its high-end aesthetic.
The speakers can be paired with a sleek American walnut tripod stand – the Marantz Horizon Tripod – making them a true centerpiece, or mounted on the wall using available brackets for a more minimalist setup.
Marantz has not compromised on sound quality with its first wireless speaker. Both the Horizon and Grand Horizon models deliver powerful audio performance, with slightly different speaker setups designed to offer immersive, room-filling sound.
The standard Marantz Horizon delivers 310 watts of output through a combination of a 6.5-inch woofer, two 1-inch silk-dome tweeters, and three 2-inch full-range drivers. The larger Grand Horizon offers even more power, with 370 watts delivered through an 8-inch woofer, three 1-inch tweeters, and four 3-inch midrange drivers. This model promises a fuller, more natural sound, with richer bass and the ability to reach higher volumes, making it ideal for larger spaces or more discerning listeners.
Designed for modern, multi-room audio setups, the Horizon series integrates with the HEOS ecosystem, allowing seamless connection to other Sound United products, such as Denon and Polk Audio speakers. This gives users the ability to enjoy synchronized audio throughout their home with ease.
In addition to HEOS, the speakers support Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Spotify Connect, making streaming from any device a breeze. And for those looking to incorporate the Horizon series into a home theater setup, Marantz has equipped these speakers with an impressive range of inputs, including stereo RCA, optical, USB-C, and HDMI eARC ports.
The Marantz Horizon and Grand Horizon are now available for purchase through the Marantz website. The standard Horizon is priced at $3,500, while the larger, more powerful Grand Horizon is available for $5,500. The Marantz Horizon Tripod can be purchased separately for $750.
