Tampa Bay’s Signature Clearwater Jazz Festival Has Been Cancelled

One of Tampa Bay’s signature concert events has been canceled due to Hurricane Milton.

Organizers of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday on Sunday announced that this year’s event, which had been scheduled to kick off Thursday, would no longer take place due to safety and operational concerns.

“In making this difficult decision, we have explored every option to continue the 45-year festival tradition,” read a statement on social media. “Many factors contributed to the cancellation including critical operational and support services, accessibility of important infrastructure and materials, power outages, and other important considerations.”

Organizers called the decision” heart wrenching and devastating,” but said they are “committed to rebuilding, and carrying on the tradition.”

This year’s Clearwater Jazz Holiday headliners were set to include Mavis Staples, Bruce Hornsby, Tower of Power, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Galactic. Refunds will be available at point of purchase. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information.
