Retro-inspired technology has made a huge comeback, as has its colorful aesthetic. Gone are the times when all new electronics were only boring and black. These days, everything from the latest phones to portable speakers are saturated in some hue and have an old-school vibe to it. The latest turntable from Gadhouse, the Brad Retro MKII Turntable, is taking advantage of both trends with a cool look that also happens to be fun and colorful.
The turntable is built to offer vintage charm, while still retaining helpful modern features and conveniences you may expect with today’s technology. It looks like something straight out of the 1960s, with a thick rectangular base and control knobs on the front. Listeners can play their vinyl in a jiffy with the 7”-12” compatible platter using 3-speed play and pitch control built into it.
The second-generation model has an updated motor and belt drive system that’s designed to ensure uninterrupted playback. It comes with a Gadhouse Ruby stylus and supports 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM speeds, which can be toggled between using a simple switch. And, an auto start/stop functionality makes playback easier than ever.
Not only that, but the turntable is designed to be all-in-one. It has built-in 10-watt speakers that you can use to play back your audio. If you prefer external speakers, you can use the built-in RCA output or the Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
The turntable now has a USB-C port for charging, which makes it more convenient to charge in between uses.
The Gadhouse Brad Retro MKII turntable is now available in Green, Grey, Navy, Tangerine, and Ivory for $149 via gadhouse.com.
